My Story

I believe I have a very unique view on real estate. Having grown up around rental properties, flips, log home construction and real estate sales, I have seen a lot. I have had the privilege to travel the world with the Air Force. My time in the service showed me the different lifestyles, cultures and types of living around the globe.

Let me tell you, it is vastly different living in Ecuador, Japan or Iraq!

I have a passion for assisting my fellow veterans as well as promoting the involvement and professionalism within the real estate industry. I carry with me, a value of SERVICE BEFORE SELF. I am a huge advocate for veterans issues and started the BATTLE BUDDY PODCAST. There I highlight my guests from all over the globe and allow them the space to share on a variety of topics ranging from business, transitioning to civilian life, mental health struggles, traumas, inspiration, and military non-profits.

I am the Guardian Trainer for the Greater Peoria Honor Flight. This organization has been a huge catalyst for me to give back to my military brothers and sisters. Working, with and for, other veterans has always been so fulfilling and reenergizing for me.

Getting out of my comfort zone and staying involved at our local real estate association has been an invaluable learning opportunity for me. I am currently serving on the Peoria Area Association of Realtor’s board of directors, as well as state-level real estate committees. I have fully immersed myself into roles, conversations, rooms, and tables that have made a huge impact on others in my community and beyond. Some of these committees include: PAAR CARES FOUNDATION, Public Awareness, Fair Housing, Contracts & Forms, Governmental Affairs, and Young Professionals.

In the winter of 2019, I was surprised with an award for 'Realtor of the Year' for the Peoria Association of Realtors. It was an honor I wasn’t expecting, especially knowing the names of those who won the award in the past. I am a humble person who never cared about awards! I am someone who likes to show up, be reliable, get my hands dirty, and focus on the "mission." It made me feel valued to be recognized and respected by my peers.

The world of real estate has forever changed these past couple of years. During the global pandemic - I took advantage of the MONTGOMERY GI BILL & took classes, mostly virtual, to earn my Bachelor's in Business Administration from University of Illinois - Springfield. I graduated in December 2021. That was a huge accomplishment that I am very proud of. Working hard to complete a goal is always a great feeling.

My Battle Buddy Podcast has motivated me to put focus on my fellow veterans. I want them to understand their purchasing power, and the tools available to become homeowners and investors - to build their wealth and provide more for themselves and their families.

Acknowledging that the industry is forever evolving, and being a forecaster of real estate trends, I have 9 years of experience in real estate and many more in leadership to guide others in my industry to: get themselves out of oudated strategies & mindsets; advance themselves technologically; and become more well-rounded agents whollistically. This is my mission for my educational offerings.

In February of 2022, I joined FATHOM REALTY.

I knew the Peoria area was missing something for the agents, that have a home office, and don't necessarily want to pay for one in a real estate office that they never use. Something that works with the virtual world we live in today. A completely digital real estate brokerage. Yes, it exists!

FATHOM was founded by a Marine, offers the advanced technology that I crave, prioritizes education and advancement, and aligns with my core values. The main being INTEGRITY FIRST. This is how I was raised, what the Air Force engrained in me, and how I interact with everyone I meet.

I am excited for this new venture with FATHOM REALTY - CENTRAL ILLINOIS and the impact it will have in bettering the lives of both clients and the agents that serve them.
